Sloan Film Summit - Science Themed

Sloan Film Summit 2014

The Sloan Film Summit with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation was held on November 14-16 in downtown Los Angeles. The Summit is a celebration for the nationwide Sloan Film Program which also has funded the many works of upcoming filmmakers, writers, producers, and much more. This year it brought together 150 screenwriter, directors, and producers, as well as representatives from leading film schools and film organizations, who work to bridge the gap between science and popular culture. This year's summit had the theme of Science incorporated into the pop culture of the industry. With movies like Interstellar, Theory of Everything, and Big Hero 6, science had become a big part of the industry.
